What we believe
First and foremost, we believe in the urgent need for a radical transformation of both the creative arts industry and the world, towards a more just and more equal future for all.
Further, that we live in a society that is structurally anti-Muslim, which therefore must be given consideration to in all areas of our work.
This is at the heart of everything we do.
We prioritise those from marginalised and minoritised identities, to create opportunities for those who remain underrepresented in the creative arts.
In particular, we desire to centre Muslimness, for all its breadth, range, and meaning to those who identify with it, and look to increase the participation of Muslims in all areas of the creative process.
We will only make work in a safe environment that protects workers, upholding the highest standards of professionalism, labour rights, dignity, and access.
What we do
-
Develop ideas
With strong experience workshopping scripts, we are here to hone and fine-tune that brilliant idea for a show you’ve always wanted to work on.
-
Get work made
A great story is far from the finished product. We find like-minded collaborators, coordinate with venues, bring in audiences, and develop an engaging program around the show.
-
Raise funds
This can be the most challenging part of this industry. We’re here to help you figure out what avenues may exist to bring your vision to life, including via Arts Council England (ACE).
